About the chapter

We're the Technology Student Association chapter at Seven Lakes, a STEM club where students design, build, code, and compete. We focus on helping our members work on projects to submit at our Regional, State, and National conferences. Officers and experienced members play a key role in helping new members learn how to successfully prepare entries and place well in their competitive events.

Competing 101

  • Static events: you do most of the work before the conference and submit it. Think Webmaster or Engineering Design.
  • Non-static events: these happen live at the conference, like Technology Bowl or Extemporaneous Speech.
  • Our advice: pick 2 or 3 events and mix both kinds.
  • Levels: Regionals in February, State in April, Nationals in late June. Place well and you move on to the next one.
